In Chinese-Tibetan Language, Shangri-La means “Sun and Moon in My Heart". 

Shangri-La is a county-level city in northwestern Yunnan province, People's Republic of China and is the location of the seat of the Dêqên Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture

In the 1830's, Shangri-La was mentioned by British writer James Hilton in his novel "Lost Horizon". Since then, this city has been known and yearned by people worldwide.

Highland Barley Bread

Made of highland barley, very healthy and low-carb.

Yak Meat Hotpot

Yak meat is a very good resource to get more energy and keep body warm. 
Since most Tibetan people live in a very cold place, they figure out this special cuisine.

Buttered Tea

More than Yak meat, Tibetan people also found the oil extracted from yak milk could help them get out of cold too. 
Hence, they produce a special drink: Buttered Tea, which is made of salted butter and tea. It tastes a bit like the milk tea.
